David was born in New Orleans and grew up in Thibodaux, Louisiana. He graduated from Edward Douglas White Catholic High School before leaving Louisiana for college at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. At Sewanee, David was a member of Chi Psi National Fraternity, the Wellington Society, as well as the University's honor society, the Order of the Gownsmen.

After graduation from college and a year stint in Nashville, David enrolled in Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson. While in law school, David studied both Common law and Louisiana Civil Law. He worked for Louisiana Supreme Court Justice John L. Weimer authoring pool writ reports and opinions, had an externship with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources, and clerked at the McRae Law Firm for former Mississippi Supreme Court Justice Chuck McRae. He was a member of the Louisiana Civil Law Society, the Business Law Group, and competed in multiple moot court competitions at Mississippi College.

After graduating with a Juris Doctor and Certificate of Civil Law Studies in May 2015, David successfully passed the July 2015 Louisiana Bar Exam. He spent several months working for attorneys in Thibodaux and New Orleans before joining the legal team at the Law Office of Rachel M. Yazbeck in April of 2016. David focuses his practice on criminal defense and personal injury cases with an emphasis on litigation.
